Thread: Twitter buys GeoAPI developer Mixer Labs

The micro-blogging website Twitter who is yet to make any money or figure out how to make money from its huge traffic and popularity is showing its ambition by buyinglocation tracking start-up Mixer Labs, the cost Twitter paid to acquire Mixer Labs was not disclosed.
Mixer Labs make one of the APIs Twitter uses called GeoAPI.
Twitter chief executive Evan Williams said the deal would allow Twitter users to show people where they are when they post updates to Twitter. The application also enable users to search where an event is happening,
