Digg traffic diverted to Reddit by users
Unpopular revamp of Digg social bookmarking services was express in a rather funny way byt Digg users, they hijack Diggs homepage and divert traffic to Reddit.
Reddit said that it had received around 250,000 extra page views from the redirection
Both sites Digg and Reddit allow users to submit links and rate news pages.
Digg has always been the more popular of the two social media but on Monday Reddit saw unique visitors increase by nearly a half, according to a blog by the Reddit team.
According to the Reddit blog:
"We had some interesting traffic yesterday," it read. "It was quite a ride - it actually jammed up our internal traffic tracker for a while."

Even if you don't use Digg or Reddit yourself, you may understand that these massive, online communities of news junkies have just as much influence as, if not more than, the major news outlets when it comes to promoting the stories you find in your daily e-mail digests and blogs. The link-happy users have constituted the Long Tail of news, bringing local and fringe stories to the mainstream with their up-voting clicks. But it seems that Digg, like the ouroboros, may be eating itself.
