Thread: Heavy Spam - seriously, last call for action.

Hi Temi, Mods,

Spam posts on this site are so heavy still! Is there nothing more time wasting that people replying to spam posts? Thesea are not REAL forum users - they think they are doing online marketing and are just copying+pasting forum nonsense. We need to take a stand. I can't sift through all of the rubbish to find the really good posts - it just takes so much time.

Yes, there will be fewer posts in the beginning but when people see higher quality posts, they will be more likely to join.

On IWF, the mods there reckon that 0 useful posts come from certain countries - after all - why would they?

Is this forum willing to take a stand or are we just going to be used to create UGC for someone else's self promtoion?

Why don't you join the mod team and help fight it? I run the forum for fun, don't make any money off it, I have to do the day job that pays the mortgage, I can spend all my time chasing spammers but with help from people like you things can be improved.

I have spent just over 1 hour removing spam and banning spammer this morning before I started work. I hear you, the other mod and I do our best but we can do with more help.

But can you not block certain countries where this spam originates?

Ive not long signed up myself, and i notice a lot of spam, its kind of annoying, because once you get past the spam there is a lot of useful information, is there no way to stop this?

Given the rubbish you have been posting, you see to be the kind of rubbish poster /Spammer we are trying to get rid of, banning you right away.
