Microsoft wants to launch its first mobile phone

Microsoft will launch its first mobile phone in an attempt to promote it's Windows Mobile OS. This information was made public by an analyst from Jefferies & Co. investment banking group.

The phone, which will have a HD video camera, could be presented in February, at the annual Mobile World Congress conference in Barcelona. In the same event, Windows will launch the new version of Windows Mobile.

The Windows phone will have direct connectivity with popular social networks such as Facebook, Twitter or Xbox Live and will be compatible with Microsoft's Zune online media store.
