Unhappy How to find genuine clients?

I have researched many forums, community, but not much in the content creation where the jobs are generally posted. Most of those offers are for ridiculously, spam or low pay offs and I refuse to work for peanuts. I just want the helps from this community how do I get the genuine ones… any resources which you know?

    Thanks

To be honest I find it the other way around, i often find that its extremely hard to find a good freelancer , personally I like to find some one reliable that i would always turn to when i have work, but ive had so many freelancers that have let me down or have told me they would do something and its no where near the quality that id required.

Even the large sites like GAF are totally useless IMO because its full of people that just want to rip you off, ideally it would be good if there was a close nit community that had ratings for their best members , that way a potential customer could find the best member to what they are wanting done.

It may make it harder for the new freelancers to get a reputation but surely that would be a good thing.....wouldn't it ?

internet market is too much populated with people to work, you need to be exclusive and be different from the rest, or else face a low offer , make portfolio and slowly increase the prices.

Interesting idea. I started from a site, posting my initial request. I got good customers to work with. I have around 30 or so customers who always offer me work and my day is busy and sometimes very busy. It all depends on what you want to focus on. Someone pointed out start with low price and move on. I get good money for my time. I have background into english literature and BS degree into computing. Always wanted to write something good. Aspirations are to write some serious stuff on computing and warehouses. If you are serious, you will get good customers sooner or later. What is selling on internet, may not be you like always, But sometimes it is good thing to do if it pays you. So take your call!!!
