Google defying the economic downturn

Google's supremacy on the internet seem to extends to the economic fiel as well. While most technology companies are feeling the pinch of the current global economic downturn, Google recently announce a rise in profit of 9%.

Do you guys think Google can continue growing despite the downturn?

i think google will also encounter this problem in the future but not now there are more and more company that are relying to google for their income :D..specially we suffer in global crisis

Yes obviously...they have made web browsing as a necessity, and are entering new fields every day...their growth is not a surprise...they deserve it...in fact in this period of economic downfall...they have provided new sources of income for individuals...be it from any part of this world and any business...I feel they will keep raising in their profits, since they are helping people grow with them...unlike other companies who have been working for their own benefit only...and not sharing their profits with their users.

Temi, I see that every sme which has an already built website now would like to stress the prsence on the internet, which means that they manage the Internet relared market much more consciously. Most of the small businesses see the key of the surviving in seo, ppc and conversion increasement, and it seems that they consider this as an investment comparing the past when they though that having a website is only a vogue. And this phenomena conduct more income for Google. By the way Google has recruited some brilliant mind who may find the new market gaps and utilize them with maximum efficiency.
