What is the best merchant processing solution?

If you want to take credit card orders (or pre-orders), what is the best merchant processing solution? I've heard the PayPal and Google Checkout will freeze your funds if even a single person complains about your service to them.

Those "funds freezing" stories are nonsense, if you do it right you won't get in troubles with PayPal at all. :)

Yes, Google checkout and paypal are two of the best and secure payment gateways. If you want alternatives for both, then you can go for Bank Wire Transfer and Moneybookers.

Try to come out of the shell and never try paypal or google checkout. FastSpring is one which i admire a lot. Have been using it since long and never really had any trouble.

Since, in the hosting industry, I have never come across any issue with Paypal and Google checkout. You can trust them, they are safe to make transactions.

He is totally right, you won't get in troubles with PayPal if you do the right thing. I actually heard those "fund freezing" stories from one of my friend. And I'm telling you, it was all his mistakes.
