A UK rival to Paypal...
Something that often crosses my mind is that it would be very interesting to see the impact a decent rival to Paypal in the UK would have. As much as I think Paypal is a reasonable way to send money online, some of the fees on there really are quite high and I am pretty sure we could be getting a better deal for our money if a little more competition was added to the equation.
Any thoughts on this?

Moneybookers are ramping up their UK operations now, I was called by a guy from Money Bookers UK yesterday, he wanted me to integrate their payment gateway into my ecommerce software.
I share you concerns about PayPal charges but there is just no decent alternative to them at the moment plus they have been going for many many years before Money Booker, NoChex, Google Checkout etc got on the scene.
One thing I do not like about Google Checkout is the fact that you need to buy an SSL certificate to implement it on your site.
