  1. Default No Index, No Follow

    NoIndex = Google will not index the URL in its DB.

    Nofollow = Google may index it but will not follow the links of this page. Now you would think why Google MAY index this page. The answer is that Google may index this page because this page might have a lot of back links and Google will think that inspite of being made nofollow thru meta tag or robots.txt, since this page has a lot of backlinks, it could be important.

    RelNofollow = If you get a backlink with a Rel NoFollow tag from page A, you will not get the PR juice of page A.

    Quite simply, “nofollow” is a piece of code that is inserted into a link. It’s format will look like this: rel=”nofollow”The major blog platforms including Blogger and Wordpress automatically put the “nofollow” attribute into comment links.

    Correction - nofollow rel attribute.
    Also, that's interesting to hear (about blogger and wordpress automatically inserting the nofollow rel attribute into commenting links)

    I haven't noticed because I've disabled all commenting systems on all/most (I think) of my wordpress websites (long, long time ago, heh).

    You can find the nofollow rel attribute in a link:

    Code:
    <a href="http://www.webmasterserve.com/uk-seo-forum/21914.htm" rel="nofollow">Keyword</a>

    It's a meta tag that you insert between the HEAD tags:

    Code:
    <meta name="robots" content="noindex, nofollow">

    Install SEO Quake with your FireFox browser and under preference select "strike through" NOFOLLOW, so, it will show you the nofollow links by "striking through" them.
