Default Data center location of Server Matters

Local search is becoming popular day by day; it is often said that search engines give higher importance to the websites hosted on local servers. Therefore, to do well in local search engines, go with a local host who has their data centre in your country. If you are from UK, look for web hosting UK only. thus it is highly recommended to have website hosted in same country you are targeting.

It doesn't matter where your DC is. MOre important who your web hosting provider is? I'm in Europe and have account with hostpebble.com and I have no problem with web hosting they provide for me

Hello
  1. Save to disk before going to tape.
  2. Figure out the restore, then plan the backup to match.
  3. Duplicate's the data to speed backup time and reduce the amount of storage needed.
  4. Look for network bottlenecks that slow down backup and restore.
  5. Don’t rely on a single technology. Use multiple layers of protection.
  6. Minimize the number of backup products you use.
  7. Set up restoration as a help desk function so storage professionals can work on improving levels of service.
  8. Have backups stored outside the disaster impact zone.
  9. Test the restoration process before it is needed, and tier your backups depending on how quickly they need restoration.
  10. Make sure the recovery plan is stored with the backup data.

Distance does not matter between the host and DC.
