Thread: cpanel and whm

I just have a little knowledge about cpanel and web hosting manager. they both can manage the server . Could you tell us about the relations and difference between cpanel and whm? thanks a lot.

Cpanel is used to manage a single website. or a single hosting account. In cpanel you can add domains to your account, manage your email accounts, your databases, etc etc. But always for your sites.


WHM is used to manage the cPanel accounts and certain functions of the server. For example with WHM you can create web hosting packages, that you can resell. You have the ability to decide wich cPanel functions a certain account will be allowed to use..etc etc.

They are both very simple to use, they have a nice n easy GUI.
