Free web hosting - a successfull model

I notice that an awful log of free web hosting companies turn up at the marketplace, I wonder why? The only answer that comes to my mind is that its not a model one can base a successful business on.

Anyone out there funning a successful free hosting company?

I completely agree with you, how would they survive if its completely free and not ad supported?

If they start without ads, they will eventually start placing ad in your free hosted websites. That how business goes. You first need to offer, in order to later ask for in return...

There is no web hosting company which offers web hosting service completely free. Always free web hosting service add more ads in our site and they provide limited space.

I just don't believe it possible to offer anything free and for that think to be of high quality

That is true, free & high quality rarely go hand to hand.

Tho, there are some free stuff that are high quality ( tracking tools, OS, CMS and so on ).

We just dont talk about hosting free and high quality
