I've been with Bluehost for almost three years now hosting eight to ten small sites. Bluehost has developed a script management facility, called SimpleScripts, that will install and maintain Joomla for you.
There is a great deal of help available at their user forum. The site address is bluehostforum (dot) com. I've seen a number of posts there regarding Joomla.

I will say they are not bad. I prefer hostgator, but I know plenty of people that have been satisfied with bluehost.
