Very well written article. Not only for UK, This applies to everyone who wish to start a company. We used the same approach described in your article, Only difference is we started with one dedicated server. As you said reputation is key, once your get it, you will succeed in webhosting. But you have to wait to hatch your eggs(profit), But keep counting your chicken(Customers and loyal service to them)

I have read a great deal about this however, I still am not sure about the following issues:

• Can one start a web hosting reseller business whilst in fulltime employment with another company?
• How can one start selling the service post creation of a professional website offering the web hosting service?
• Does one need to advertise the web hosting service on local media (local radio, local TV, local newspaper ...etc)?
• If one has to advertise as mention above in order to bring in the very first web hosting customer, then what type of budget should be set aside for advertisement?
