Webhostingpad and Hostmonster are fine to me. Webhostingpad provides an very cheap hosting plan with $1.99/mo. And the support of Hostmonster is great.

Be very careful when you choose web hosts - look for two key things: do they provide support for the thing you want to do (eg wordpress) and what is their uptime.

I left 1and1 because they couldn't provide Wordpress support. I joined TSO and I have been amazed by how good their customer service is. They have a toll-free number during the day, and email support overnight. And they always answer their emails within 60 seconds!!

The prices are pretty amazing too, at £15 ($20) a year for the cheapest package.

They guided me (a complete novice) through setting up the blog, and transferring the domain name in. I love them (almost as much as I love Apple!!).
