What do you think it is the perfect configuration for a managed server ?

Let`s suppose I want to build my own server and then locate it in a DC in other country, so I need to make it fast, as cheap as possible and reliable.

What would it be the configuration I should choose ?

Also, if you have knowledge of Data Centers prices for managing, it would be great.
