In my opinion backlinks are the most important thing for promoting your site - assumming you have some content of course : ) Do you agree?

I would agree to a degree mate, alot of people have their own views on what works best for them, The general gist that everyone pretty much agrees with is that good content and related back links will get you far

Content is king as they say, but without backlinks... I suppose it has to be these two thinks otherwise it is chicken and egg

Very true mate, I think good content can be manipulated in some cases but i suppose you can say the same for backlinks too

I would agree the backlinks are important for promoting your site so that your site can get more link referrals. But to make your site be more successful in promoting, it's really best to provide your site with quality and informative content.

Backlinks are the bloods of the site. Without that you wont get traffic. Without traffic you wont earn anything. Without earning there is no use of making site. SO yeah Back links are the most important thing of a site.

perfectly said, IF your goal is to make money with your site. If it is just a place for you to post personal information and pictures, like a family site, etc - then backlinks mean nothing at all and have no importance at all.
