WORDPRESS 2.9 is OUT!

One of the GREAT things about the WordPress package is it’s constantly being upgraded. the developers has just released version 2.9 of their popular blogging script Wordpress which can be downloaded from the official Wordpress website. However users who have configured automatic updates can also upgrade to the new version from within their blogs.

It recommended to backup the files and database before initiating the update.

Thanks man, have updated most of my blogs by now and so far I haven't seen a bug. The image editor is so awesome!

Frequent updates have in fact become irritating now. With each update, all the plugins need to get updated as well - so a real time wasting activity. I wish they could restrict the number of upgrades

Correct. But they are at the end of the Version 2 series so they might be preparing for version 3 so now that they're updating they leave some mistakes which shouldn't be there. So it's better that they let us update more than that our blogs get hacked ;)
