Free WordPress Blog Domains VS Self/Other-Hosted Blogs

I observed that my free blog domain in Wordpress actually gained more traffic than my self-hosted blog domain. Also, I worked double for my new blog domain yet it didn't get immediate rankings from Google's SERP and PR compared with my free wordpress domain having instant PR1 after one month of SEO.

Do you guys have the same experience? I'm thinking that WordPress global blog search feature using tags can be the very reason why most free wordpress gather more traffics than self-hosted ones.

yes, blog on wordpress will come in ranking quick also you will get more traffic on those blogs. Tag feature of wordpress is very helpful for traffic.
