I wouldn't know where to start by building one. So I just get mine off the shelf.

I've heard that it can be cheaper if you build one.

It can be cheaper but it works out the same really.

You waste time searching for all the components your require and then build the PC.

I buy off the shelf. :)

Well, for fun I build my own PCs... I haven't gotten anything in a while but I'd still prefer to build my own for the fun of it..

If I wanted a really powerful machine, I would definetly build one myself.

For those who have never built a PC, it can be a good experience.

New Pc

I usually build so I know exactly what I want. The warranty isnt as good (1years parts) but it makes it more personal

Just my 2p worth

Peace

It's good to know exactly what you want, but sometimes it can be easier also to get a pre-built PC and change the parts, unless you're picky about the motherboard, CPU, etc and want to change all that, I'd custom build.

I agree

It is much easier picking one up from the shelve and it saves time and all the warranty hassle.
