Hi,

I have just finished designing a site and it looks great on my pc using IE or firefox. The problem is it dosent seem to look right on some other pc's, alignments are off or on some pages the text is way down the bottom.

The website I am having troubles with is http://garden-fountains.co.uk/ and I would really apreciate any help anyone can give me as to whats wrong. I tried to do something a little different with this site (for me anyways) .

This is on my pc with IE7.

This is on my pc with Firefox.

This is on my server using IE6

Also from my server.

I have picked some of the most screwed up pages for the 3rd and 4th image.

Really apreciate any help.

Thanks.

Do you use px or % for dimensions ?

Even a simple change of settings for a monitor may cause problems. Its better to work in percents but it is also harder. Anyway try just those two divs at a different resolution.

Looking at the css it is mostly using px and not %. I am really useless at divs and css as this is the first non table based site I have ever tried to do. Now that I am stuck I am at a loss as to what to change where. It works fine on my pc on IE & FF, I cant work out when the same version of IE on a different pc completely screws it. Like having the entire content below the template.

The resolution on my server is the same 1280 x 1024. The colour depth is different tho. I have now changed the display settings so the server matches my pc and the pages are still screwed.

Some pages work better than others:
This one for example looks quite good on all pc's
http://garden-fountains.co.uk/coffee-table.php

But this one dosent:
http://garden-fountains.co.uk/lava-stone.php

I swear they are almost identical. When I look at the lava stone page on one of the pc's here and my server the entire page appears below the template.
