Wordpress automatically installs a code called No Follow to any user submitted links on all Wordpress blogs. This code is to discourage spamming as people leave comments with specific keyword links all over the blogosphere simply to boost their search engine ranking.

The benefits of having a do follow blog would be you will gain more comments, returning visitors and who knows might gain a new rss subscription or a sale from one of your advertisers although most of this traffic will be less of a return than search engine traffic.

These 3 WordPress plugin will count the number of approved comments each commentator has left on your blog and then reward he/she with a Do-follow link in the Comment Author Link field. It will remove Nofollow tags from comments after the commentator leaves a minimum number of responses, as specified by the site admin.

With this plugin you can encourage visitors to leave useful comments on your blog.

  • NoFollow Free Plug-in : This plug-in comes with banners that you can display on your site to advertise your participation in the dofollow movement. It can selectively remove nofollow from author or text links
  • Dofollow 4.0 : This is one of the first dofollow plugins for wordpress. Its a simple plugin working upon activation through the active plugins menu. It has the ability to nofollow all trackbacks and pingbacks and also the ability to remove nofollow from comments after a period of time.
  • Link Love : This plug-in is that it dofollows comment author links based on the author's email address so that no matter what URL or anchor text the author uses, he/she gets his/her dofollow backlink.

Thanks and agreed

A do follow blog idefinetly attracts visitors. I review comments before approving but it can sometimes be difficult when pending comments reaches thousands and most are spam.

WordPress Plugins facility only available on Wordpress.org not on Wordpress.com. So you can't convert your wordpress.com blog into dofollow.
