New vulnerabilities in IE

A vulnerability from IE's capability to render images could permit attackers the execution of code from distance.

The security consultant Michael Zalewsky announced that he descovered a number of vulnerabilities in the way that IE treates JPEG images. Zalewsky said that one of the vulnerabilities can be exploited for execution of arbitrary code, an attack which is in the category of those critical type.

The vulnerabilities have the posibility to determine the blockation of IE6, even if it has SP2 instaled. The previous versions could be also affected, according to SecurityFocus.
