When Search Engine Optimization technique are applied wrongly like back links are not created at niche website, in this case when customer redirect to the website and they can found different content as they expect then they leave the page suddenly without visit the another page of website these are called as bounce rate.

Bounce rate refers to the percentage of visitors that quickly exit the page after just browsing one page and stay for only a short time such as 1 second. If your site has high bounce rate, it means that people are not finding anything that can help them in your content and that is why people want to quickly leave the page. So, you should do something such as change the content by adding some values to it to lower the bounce rate and increase the time for visitors to stay on the site.

Bounce rate mainly depends upon the loading of the page, most visitors doesn't like to wait for a long time and most of them need the answer in a word or words, but not likes to read whole story.
Bounce rate increases when a user is not interested in your content or they didn't find helpful from it. You should add some related article links in the top paragraph, middle, bottom, so the bounce gradually decreases.

You have to find out yourself as every blog is a different niche with different style.

Bounce rate is a bad impression for website, if any visitor comes to your website and they leave your website without spending 8 second, it's count as a bounce rate.
You can check or monitor your website bounce rate using google analytics, make a google analytics account for your website and paste google analytics code in your web pages.

Bounce rate is not considered as a good thing for your website. For example a customer visited your website in search of something but then he did not visit any other page of your website and left beacuse your website content was irrelevant to what he wanted. Bounce rate impacts the website negatively, it means your website is not useful.

It represents the percentage of visitors who enter the site and then leave ("bounce") rather than continuing on to view other pages within the same site.

According to my experience then bounce rate refers to the rate of audiences who leave our site without clicking on other pages in the site. I've heard that normally bounce rate should be around 50%; however, I think it will depend on different type of sites though. For example blog sites tend to need lots of traffic with low bounce rate, frequent traffic is also incredibly helpful. But market/shop sites seem don't strictly need low bounce rate since they tend to attract customers to buy their product as quick as possible.

Bounce Rate is the percentage of users who land on a page and then exit your site. They are always one page visits but they could be on that page for any length of time.
