Help Me/Question What Is Inheritance In C++ Programming Language?

Inheritance is the powerful characteristics of the object oriented programming language. Inheritance provide the reusability of the existing code. We can derive the code from old class to form a new class . Old class is formally known as base class and derived class are known ad child class. I want to know what is the need of Inheritance in object oriented programming languages.

Inheritance is the wonderful features of recent programming languages and it is established with the C++ programming languages that generate more easy coding.
To understand the inheritance it simply mean that quality(feature) of a parent class will be inherit to its son class.
For one function that need to be operated in other can be inherited to its child class from its parent class.

Inheritance is a concept of linking two or more classes with each other in a hierarchical manner so that their properties and functions can be shared. (One class will extend to another class.) This leads to the biggest advantage of re-usability of the members and avoids is one of the key feature of object-oriented programming including C++ which allows user to create a new class(derived class) from a existing class(base class). The derived class inherits all feature from a base class and it can have additional features of its own.

Inheritance is used C + + programming language for writing programming code heritance is mainly used in algorithm design. We can say inheritance is most important thing in C plus plus. If you w a n t become a hardcore C plus plus program learn C plus plus inheritance completely.

In simple words, inheritance is the property by which derived class uses the property of its base class. CPP gives the derived class permission to use the properties or function for its base class from which it is derived. Other than inheritance CPP also provides the properry of polymorphism which helps same function to get used in different ways.

Main Purpose of inheritance in oops is to implement the concepts of generalization and specialization. Think programming as real life condition. As all the cars has some common features and again all the different cars have some different features. So what we need to do to make a class of common features of cars which we can use again and again for all cars, instead of writing code for each car again. This can be implement through inheritance.

Inheritance is one of the basic feature of Object oriented Language after that is polymorphism. It is a feature of reusing the class properties. It is said to be a class derived from a different class. In C++, we have 5 different types of Inheritance which are:
  1. Single Inheritance
  2. Multiple Inheritance
  3. Hierarchical Inheritance
  4. Multilevel Inheritance
  5. Hybrid Inheritance
