Non-two phase locking protocol is used to prevent deadlock. In non-two phase locking protocol it requires prior knowledge about the order in which the transection is to be executed. It includes:
  1. Graph based protocol: It requires that we must have prior knowledge about the order in which the dataitems will be accessed. Thus the data items are arranged in tree or graph.
  2. Time Stamp Based Protocol: It requires that we must have a prior knowledge about the order in which the transections will be accessed. For this purpose the each transections is allocated with the time stamp when it enter into the systen based upon the value of system clock on logical counter.
