Help Me/Question What Is The Different Parallel Dbms And Distributed Dbms?

Yellow Belt
Parallel DBMS: is the one in which the DBMS is running parallel at each site. There are multiple CPU's and disks for storage in parallel accessing.
1.High throughput and response time.
2.Parallel database is useful for multiuser environment.

Distributed DBMS: in which database is distributed among the several autonomous sites instead one single site being responsible for the whole of the database.
1.Work load is shared among different sites.
2.Efficient utilization of memory.

Parallel DBMS is quick and easy to deal with but acquire a lot of resources and CPU's. However, distributed is the one that acquires less CPU's and resources to maximize the output.

Machines are physically close to each other and the parallel DBMS improve the share the memory and the disk.
